As a Southern Pines commercial photographer, I specialize in everything from headshots and branding to product photography and e-commerce. One of the most exciting aspects of my work is collaborating with local businesses, and one of my recent projects was a product shoot for Hot Chillys, a Southern Pines-based clothing brand known for their high-performance base layers, mid-layers, and accessories for outdoor sports, snow sports, running, and cycling.

This shoot marked the third time I’ve had the opportunity to photograph Hot Chillys’ apparel. You can see their full collection, along with many of the product images I’ve captured, on their website at Hot Chillys Collection.

The first time I worked with Hot Chillys was about a year and a half ago at my old studio in Cameron. Since then, the company has made some exciting changes, including setting up their own dedicated shooting space at their physical location in Southern Pines. This was a fantastic shift because it allowed them to keep everything under one roof, eliminating the need to transport all their apparel and accessories to my studio—streamlining the entire process and making the shoot more efficient.

For this recent session, Hot Chillys partnered with Marilyn's Agency, a model and talent agency based in Greensboro, to bring in professional models for the shoot. I had the pleasure of working with Ryan and Jess, who were absolutely fantastic! They brought such energy, professionalism, and expertise to the shoot, making every moment enjoyable and productive. Their ability to showcase the apparel in a way that perfectly captured the brand’s spirit was incredible, and it made the entire experience a true pleasure.

In addition to the beautiful imagery we captured, I also put together a little behind-the-scenes video that showcases all the outfits and accessories we photographed that day. It’s always fun to see the magic unfold behind the camera and to share that process with my clients and followers.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work with such a dynamic, local brand like Hot Chillys, and I can’t wait for the next project together.

And here are some behind the scenes video clips of the models wearing the outfits and posing for the camera
