Every few years, my dear friend Claudia travels all the way from Germany to visit me here in the U.S. It’s always such a special time, and one of our favorite traditions is updating her portraits. Over the years, we’ve evolved the photoshoots to reflect not just her style, but also my journey as a photographer—and now, I get to take her pictures in my cozy branding studio in the heart of Moore County, NC.
When Claudia first started visiting me, we would do our photoshoots outside, embracing the beauty of nature and natural light. But now that I have my dedicated branding photography studio, we’ve been able to create even more dynamic and personalized portraits that capture her essence. This latest shoot was one for the books!
We kept things simple yet timeless with a couple of different looks. First, we shot against a soft off-white backdrop. The simplicity of this setup really allows her personality to shine through. Claudia wore a classic combination—jeans and a white top—that never goes out of style. It’s one of those combinations that’s effortlessly chic and always looks fresh. After all, less is often more when it comes to headshot and branding photography, and that’s exactly the vibe we were going for. Clean, crisp, and beautiful.
And of course, no photoshoot is complete without a little help from my talented friend, Chelsea Regan, who did an incredible job with hair and makeup. She always knows exactly how to enhance Claudia’s natural beauty while keeping the look fresh and polished. It’s the perfect balance for a branding session that feels both professional and personal.
