When Miranda walked into the studio, she shared that this was her very first real photoshoot—ever. Up until this point, the only photos she had were selfies with her dog (adorable, but not exactly professional!). As a 6th grade science teacher at San Lee, Miranda was recently asked to submit a photo for her school’s annual “About Me” series—posts that help students get to know their teachers with fun facts and a personal introduction. She decided it was time for something a little more polished, and I’m so glad she did!
What We Created Together

Miranda wore a classic white top and jeans—clean, timeless, and 100% her
We did a variety of poses—standing, seated on the couch, and sitting on the floor for a relaxed, approachable feel
And here's a bonus: I always include complimentary crops of the chosen images (like verticals, close-ups, or squares for social), plus a few black and white conversions—at no extra cost. It's one of those little extras that makes a big difference, and clients love the flexibility it gives them when using their images!
Where the Magic for her Headshots and Branding Session Happened
This session took place in my bright and modern lifestyle room inside the Tyson Sinclair Building in downtown Carthage. The soft neutral palette, cozy furniture, and beautiful natural light made it the perfect backdrop for Miranda’s fresh, friendly style.
Why This Session Was Special
Miranda may have been new to professional photos, but you’d never know it. She was open, fun, and willing to try out a variety of poses—even sitting cross-legged on the floor. These photos will now represent her not only in her school’s “About Me” post, but anywhere else she needs a beautiful, professional image.
