As a headshot photographer based in Pinehurst, I’m lucky enough to get to explore all the amazing spots in Moore County. From Pinehurst to Southern Pines, there’s always a new location to discover, and honestly, I’m always up for trying something new!
So here’s a fun little behind-the-scenes story: one of my clients, who recently moved to the area, suggested a spot in downtown Southern Pines for her business branding headshots. It was a location I hadn’t yet visited, and she’d been eyeing it ever since she moved to our beautiful little town. Well, I’m always down to explore new places, so off we went!
We ended up at this super cute spot with a gorgeous door that was just perfect for her photos. The vibe was amazing, and it worked so well for the look she was going for. We played around with a bunch of different poses and expressions, and she even did a quick outfit change to get some extra variety—because who doesn’t love a good outfit change during a session, right?
Now, I’ve gotta say, it was a really chilly morning (I mean, we’re talking freezing!), but she was a total champ about it. Not a single complaint, even though I’m sure she was shivering like crazy.
And after the session, I couldn’t resist treating myself to a hot cappuccino at the Java Bean Plantation in Southern Pines. If you haven’t been yet, seriously, go. Their cappuccinos are my go-to on cold mornings, and the cozy atmosphere is just perfect for winding down after a shoot.
All in all, it was such a fun session, and I’m so glad I got to explore a new location with such a great client. Whether you’re in Pinehurst, Southern Pines, or any of the other awesome towns in Moore County, I’m always up for finding a new spot to capture your perfect headshot or branding photos!

She wanted a good variety for her images, so we captured a few different poses and expressions and she did a quick outfit change. It was a really cold morning but she was a trooper and put up with the cold without a single complaint.
