OK. Here it is. My very first blog post. I enjoy reading other people's blogs and I think it's a great way to keep up with what's going on, but I don't neccessarily think I'm great at writing long and wordy stories to go along with my pictures.
After talking about it at lengths with a few close friends of mine and also with my younger sister, they kind of pushed me towards the idea of posting somewhat regular updates and I started to warm up to the thought- so I'll give this a try and see if I have the time to keep up with it.
Anyway, here it goes- my very first blog post. OK, not just yet. I'm not eve sure how the specifics work and how to post a blog on my page, but I'll hopefully figure that out as I go.
And if not, I will just keep the blog to myself and won't tell anyone about it. Great plan.

It's about an amazing event that I shot this past weekend.
A 50th wedding anniversary. Yes, you read that right. 50 years of marriage. Isn't that amazing?
Here I was, pretty proud of myself for approaching my ten year anniversary with my hubby, and this wonderful couple has stayed together for 50 years. They have traveled the world, had two daughters, have a whole bunch of grandkids, have moved all over the US from State to State.
And now they invited their friends and family to celebate their 50th wedding anniversary.
And I got to be there to photograph this event and to capture a few wonderful moments and emotions for them for years to come.
I felt very inspired by this loving couple and I think this is a great start for me to actually get started on my blog.
Their event was hosted at the Beacon Ridge Country Club in Seven Lakes, NC.
